Box Information

REGULAR SLOTTED CARTON (RSC) AII flaps are the same length. The outer flaps meet at the center of the box, the inner flaps meet only on a square carton. Most economical to manufacture, it is well adapted to automatic set up, filling and closing)
PARTIAL OVERLAP CARTON (POL) The flaps of a POL overlap in the center. This gives a double layer for wide crown staples. It also provides additional cushioning along the center of the carton.
ALL FLAPS MEET (AFM) Outer and inner flaps meet at the center providing a double level cushioning surface on top and bottom. Excellent for heavy sharp items, items prone to shift, government shipments, etc.
FULL OVERLAP (FOL) lnner flaps overlap at random. Provides more than two thicknesses of cushioning on top and bottom. Improves closing for end opening styles of extreme short width dimensions. Specify FOL with IFM (Inner Flaps Meeting) for level resting contents. This requires flap cutting.
HALF SLOTTED CARTON (HSC) and FULL TELESCOPE HALF SLOTTED BOX (FTHS) Single HSC is a slotted box with one set of flaps only. Used as a 'slip cover' for batteries, refrigerators, washing machines etc. An FTHS is two HSC's (top and bottom) of equal depth. The two thicknesses of fiberboard at sides and ends afford maximum protection to contents and superior stacking strength.
FULL TELESCOPE DESIGN STYLE-Top and bottom of equal depth, usually shallow. Provides good side wall strength for stacking. Ideal for opening and closing and reusing. Also can be made with partial telescoping top.
DOUBLE COVER BOX (DC) For articles which cannot be readily packed in standard containers because of height or weight or because the quantity of articles to be shipped varies. If the units being packed do not fill the box, the body may be cut down to the level of the contents. This style of box is often used for the shipment of granular and other free-flowing products.
ONE PIECE FOLDER-More economical than a carton and they require less storage space. Very quick and easy to use. Available also in 'Special Style' where all flaps meet.
TWO PIECE FOLDER-Double thickness on top and bottom give double protection. Quick and easy to use on objects that are suited for this package.
THREE PIECE FOLDER-Similar in style to the two piece folder. The extra side gives double cushioning on all sides. Easier to load for some types of objects.
FIVE PANEL FOLDER-A very economical and easy to use ackage. Ideal for long thin objects. Long folders may be easily cut down to fit shorter objects.
PARTlTION-When using a single carton for multiple packaging, partitions separate and protect each item and increase the stacking strength of the container.
DOUBLE SLIDE BOX-Inner slide may be either open or taped. Double cushion on sides and corners make this style suitable for books, catalogs, etc. Available also in a double lined slide box (3 piece slide box) which gives a double wall of corrugated on all sides and exceptionally strong corners
