VCI: VOLATILE CORROSION INHIBITOR
BETTER PROTECTION FOR ALL METAL SURFACES

J & J Paper & Packaging, Inc. will help you select the right VCI Paper for your product. Then just follow these guidelines for neat, effective, and economical protection from corrosion.

1. Clean your product, preferably with a petroleum solvent or solvent emulsion cleaners (if alkali or chlorinated cleaners are used, J & J Paper & Packaging, Inc. can give you specific neutralizing directions).

2. Be sure your product is free of fingerprints, machining oils and acid or alkali residue (neutral oils or a light rust inhibitor may be left on metal surfaces, but they are not necessary).

3. Package your products as soon after cleaning as possible.

4. Keep the VCI Paper as close to the product surface as possible, within 12" maximum. Use at least 1 square foot of VCI for every 1-3 square feet of metal surface protected and a minimum of 1 square foot for every cubic foot of void space.

5. Place nothing between the metal surface protected and VCI Paper. Also, in order to prevent loss of the protective vapor, the products must be completely enclosed either by a carton or a barrier grade of VCI.

6. Seal your package airtight for long-term storage of up to 10 years!

7. You can use VCI Papers any way you need to: as wrapping, as insert strips or cap closures for shipping tubes, as blankets, as covers, etc. Bulk-packed products can use VCl as liners or separators.
